California’s SB 54: Protecting our Community

Did you know that California has a law called the California Values Act (SB 54) that protects all community members, regardless of immigration status?
This law makes sure that our local police and sheriffs don’t use their time and resources to help federal immigration agents (ICE).
What does this mean for you?
Safe spaces: You should feel safe going to schools, hospitals, and courthouses without fear of immigration enforcement.
SB 54 helps keep these places focused on their main purpose – education, healthcare, and justice – not immigration checks.
Everyone deserves to feel safe: Regardless of your immigration status, you have the right to live without fear in your community.
